Source was officially launched in Egypt alongside CICA’s General Assembly where a dedicated workshop on the construction industry was organised, giving space to formally launch Source and highlight the excellent work accomplished thus far. This fantastic event was held in Cairo, Egypt and brought together public authorities, construction stakeholders, financial institutions and private sector representatives.
“As the global association of contractors, we have been supporting Source since the very beginning. We believe the platform is a key tool to improve the preparation of infrastructure projects, to de-risk the projects and attract the best bidders to the tenders” Fanny Dastugue, Director General, CICA
A key highlight of the afternoon was the launch where Atter Hannoura, Director of the PPP Unit at the Ministry of Finance (MoF) of Egypt outlined the focus of the work completed, giving thanks as well to the French Ministry of Economy and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) for the extensive support in Source integration in Egypt:
“The PPP Unit at Egypt’s Ministry of Finance has begun using Source and is already realising significant benefits across its infrastructure project pipeline. Source has helped streamline and consolidate processes while ensuring compliance with local laws and international standards. The platform provides clear visibility into project progress, deadlines, and documentation, supports efficient procurement and tendering, and improves collaboration with internal and external partners. By enabling the publication of complete, compliant projects to investors, Source is strengthening transparency and helping build a more investable PPP project pipeline in Egypt.” Atter Hannoura, Director of the PPP Unit, MoF
The AFD Country Director Clémence Vidal de la Blache also gave some words, emphasising the shared vision behind the initiative. After these introductions, Ibrahim Maged Mamdouh, National Coordinator for Source Integration, gave a brief presentation of the Source platform, showcasing its capacity and value to the contractors and potential investors present, answering questions from the audience. The launch was concluded by our CEO, where Christophe outlined the innovation that drives Source’s development and announced the upcoming technological advancements in business intelligence that will be added to Source in the future to further enhance the effectiveness of infrastructure project preparation.
