Bishkek, 23 October 2025
The Sustainable Infrastructure Foundation (SIF) is pleased to announce the official launch of the Source platform in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The launch ceremony organised by the PPP Center took place during the IV International PPP Conference in the Kyrgyz Republic, immediately following the high-level panel debate “Public-Private Partnerships: Past, Present and Future”, which brought together representatives from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Eurasian Development Bank, and the Municipality of Osh.
The event marked an important milestone in the country’s efforts to strengthen infrastructure project preparation and management through the adoption of international digital standards and tools.
SIF expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, represented by Mr. Tumanov and Mr. Zhamankulov, and to the Public-Private Partnership Center, represented by Mr. Nurbek, under the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, for their partnership in the implementation of the Source platform.
SIF also acknowledged the continuous support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), whose contribution has been instrumental to the project’s success, as well as the valuable role SIF’s local consultant, in facilitating collaboration with national stakeholders.
Source is a global digital platform that supports governments and public agencies in the preparation, management, and delivery of sustainable infrastructure projects. It provides a structured, collaborative environment that integrates international best practices, promotes transparency, and enhances the quality of public investment.
With the Kyrgyz Republic joining the Source community, the platform’s adoption now extends across Central Asia, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic. This regional expansion demonstrates the success of the G20 Infrastructure Working Group’s agenda to improve project preparation through digital and data-driven solutions, leveraging emerging technologies.
SIF is very confident that the implementation of Source will contribute to the further development of the Kyrgyz Republic by strengthening project governance, improving infrastructure planning, and fostering sustainable economic growth.
