The Sustainable Infrastructure Foundation (SIF) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the National Training on SOURCE for General Contracting Authorities (GCAs) in Indonesia, which took place on October 24, 2024, in Bandung. This training, conducted in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, saw the participation of 50 government officials from 44 GCAs, all of whom were equipped with essential skills and knowledge for utilising the SOURCE platform effectively.
This training was a significant milestone for the Government of Indonesia, which with the support of SIF’s local consultants, could ensure a comprehensive and impactful learning experience for the participants. SOURCE is now fully equipped to support Indonesia’s PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects, customised to Indonesia’s PPP and IKN PPP processes, and incorporate Indonesia’s PPP Project Assessment Methodology. With the database server’s exemption granted by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MOCIT), SOURCE is now accessible for Bappenas (Indonesia’s Ministry of Planning), the PPP Joint Office, and GCAs across Indonesia.
In addition to the training, SIF representatives held constructive discussions with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Bappenas regarding several strategic initiatives. Key topics included the migration of SOURCE’s servers from its current host at UNICC in Geneva to a hybrid solution, which involves localisation of the data in Indonesia. ADB is willing to support this transition as the SOURCE platform becomes a standard tool for government planning in Indonesia.
The government of Indonesia is dedicated to enhancing the infrastructure planning capabilities of its agencies through SOURCE, a customised digital platform that fosters collaboration with key partners. We are pleased to dedicate a long-term commitment to Indonesia in achieving Indonesia’s infrastructure development objectives through sustainable and transparent project planning processes.
