SourceX moves forward in Fiji: SIF mission to Suva strengthens partnership with ADB and MoSP

In the week of 12 October 2026,  SIF CEO travelled to Suva, Fiji, for the inception and needs assessment phase of the SourceX implementation. The mission built on the close working relationship between SIF, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Fiji’s MoSP, the partners at the heart of the integration.

The week began with a courtesy meeting at the ADB South Pacific Subregional Office to brief the bank on the mission’s objectives. It was followed by a SourceX stakeholder meeting hosted at ADB’s offices, bringing together government and development partners around a shared picture of how SourceX can support infrastructure project preparation in Fiji. ADB’s support and convening role have been central to getting the integration under way.

Building ownership: SIF CEO met the MoSP team in person to go through the integration approach and the next steps. The agenda also included a session with the two directors of Digital Transformation, so that the IT and API aspects of SourceX are considered from the start. A further online session with the PRIF Pacific infrastructure team and PPP partners rounded off the week’s consultations.

What the mission set out to do

  • Engage key government stakeholders and development partners
  • Map infrastructure processes and institutional workflows
  • Assess existing tools, systems and methodologies
  • Identify integration opportunities, including IT and API aspects
  • Align on priorities, governance and next steps

Looking ahead: Strong partnerships make integrations succeed. With ADB and MoSP and wider stakeholders in Fiji, engaged from the outset, Fiji is well placed to move from needs assessment to digitalisation.
