SOURCE’s servers now under UN’s jurisdiction

As the provider of SOURCE, a cloud-based software dedicated to the preparation of infrastructure projects for governments and multilateral organizations, the Sustainable Infrastructure Foundation (SIF) has always put data sovereignty, privacy and security at the forefront of its priorities. The recent mass-leakages and data misuse scandals have furthermore highlighted the importance – and ever-increasing difficulty – of ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of data on the cloud.

Taking stock of these challenges, SIF is proud to announce the migration of SOURCE’s data under the United Nations’ jurisdiction. As a consequence, all project-related information uploaded onto SOURCE  are therefore fully protected from any foreign interest and intrusion, safeguarding United Nations jurisdiction and cementing SOURCE’s multilateralism. SIF’s new service provider maintains state-of-art data security best practices and standards, is certified under ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and provides annual assurance over internal controls according to audit standard ISAE3402.

This migration will further enhance the scalability and customizability of the platform, hence setting the stage for SOURCE’s on-going integration into government agencies and multilateral development banks’ operations and reinforcing the role of SOURCE as the repository of global project data and standards.
